Somewhere in the fine print, it tells you the limitations it has.
It says something along the lines of "You are only earning so much
court time per year, so it takes a few years to have any court time.
They won't represent you if you are guilty of some crimes, but just
for lawsuits or to find you representation in the event of a crime."
Basically, you get what you paid for. They claim that they do a good
job for you, because the local legal group wants the group money to
continue, but it seems more like they just want the money to give
legal advice and little else. These guys are lawyers, they are smart
enough to know how to get more money out of a client than their
small monthly payment when they really need a lawyer.
If you regularly need contracts drawn or read over, then it might be
a good value. If you want to "bank" some serious legal representation,
you might remember that you get what you paid for. In other words,
when you absolutely "need" a good lawyer, do you want the one who
knows you only spent a couple thousand dollars over the years and
won't be lining his pockets for this "important" case?
