Oh, and after your mini-pe advice, I found this: http://www.nu2.nu/pebuilder/

    What do you think?

    That is good to!

Spyware Doctor is the best at looking at your registry for malware.

First of all, try re-installing Ad-Aware. That's what I use to clean everyone's computer out.

Second, the trojan/virus/spyware may be preventing Ad-Aware from running. Try unplugging your internet connection when trying to run it.

Third, try restarting in safe mode (press F8 when you're booting and you'll get options). Then try Ad-Aware again.

For antivirus, try downloading ClamWin and use that. Some viruses/trojans/spyware will disable common Antivirus programs from detecting anything.

Just to let you know JAG yes when you delete cookies and temp files that may help you temporary, but when you restart your system those bad invasive files will

be put back in your browser files and and else where, so do check you startup files .

Again I would have to suggest Spyware Doctor as a solution and even if it does not cure your problem it's a very good thing to have running in the background

while surfing and whatever your doing

My brother is a manager of a computer store and repair center.

A possible other solution would be to put in your op system CD and run repair, at times you have to re-install some drivers afterward but it fixes many of problems

And it does save your files in case your wondering.

You can also just take your computer to a repair shop and they can analise it and repair it for you at a cost of course

Ad-ware is good to use. Not on top of my list anymore.

    compare your antivirus here: http://www.av-comparatives.org/

Kaspersky and NOD32 are up there. I had a client's machine that was heavily infected. Kaspersky detected 55 viruses. NOD32 caught only 33. Except that NOD32 caught an important one that Kaspersky missed.

re: Spyware Doctor running in the background.
This makes your PC slow down. Too much security if you ask me. All you need is Kaspersky A/V and Online Armor.

    I had the same problem.

I don’t think it’s a virus, I think it’s a trogen. You downloaded it, thinking it was something else and you think it didn’t work, but it did! Its imbedded in your system, with me it disabled the system in such a way that I couldn’t install any Anti-ware programs or Anti-virus. Also my computer was running hopelessly slow.

All you can do is re-format and install a flesh copy of Windows.

You should have the Hard Drive partitioned with a C and D drive, C drive will store all your system and programs files and D Drive will store all your data files, and any mass storage.

Then you make an Image of C drive and if it happens again you simpley re-install the C drive image, that’s what I had to do, I was lucky enough to have had a C drive image in my backup.

When I downloaded Norton Antivirus to my husband's computer, it went whacky! I mean you couldn't hardly do anything! I tried to uninstall the program, but couldn't! I backed it up to a new restore date and it still wouldn't take Norton off. I, finally, decided to search Norton's site to see if they had an uninstaller; and they did! I uninstalled the program and now the computer works fine. I just turned Windows firewall back on.

either install linux or use a mac. then you won't have this kind of problems.

where do you host your page? do you use weak passwords? do you update your software regularly?

I agree with Superfine A. Buy a mac. JWD is not super mac friendly.
