Here ya go if your first attempt doesn't work:

The borax makes total sense to me as similar chemicals are used in initial shrink resist treatment of wool.

It will destroy the scales (which are what cause the shrinking and felting) off the fibre surface and make the sweater easier to resize/shape.

UPDATE: Sweater is stretched back to it's original size and is currently drying on a towel. Seems to be holding it's size and shape nicely
I'll update again once it's dry.
Thanks for all of your kind words. I'll pass them along to my sweater once it's dry.

    Priest,

    Bachelor Laundry 101,

Wool friendly detergent = Woolite (hence the name)

Never, never put a 100% wool sweater in a dryer! Imagine putting your dick in a wood chipper. You get my point!

I hope someone can help you out, but it sounds like a candidate for the Goodwill.

JK666 where were you and hour ago. I just got back from the wood chipper. How do I undo that shrink?

Sorry to hear about your sweater's demise. Can't say I know how to undo what's done, but on the other hand, you're doing "woman's work" now? [heh heh]

FFM, the alternative to doing laundry is stinking. That would really mess up my chances with the ladies. And now I seem to have been using my wood chipper incorrectly as well.
