Blame JK666's analogy. I was just looking for help with my laundry.

UPDATE: Sweater is stretched back to it's original size.
I'm very, very impressed. I had this happen a few times and ended up throwing the sweater out.
So just regular Gain worked? Was that powder or liquid?
I need to remember this because I'm sure I'll face this situation again one day.

I used just enough to "suds" up my kitchen sink and used slightly warmer that warm water.
let it soak for about 15 minutes and stretched it out on a towel on the floor.
But it 'aint' over yet. Gotta wait till it's dry and I can try it on.
Dear God, I can't believe that I'm having this conversation. ***edited to add -Liquid (for Aude) -

This has happened to me so many times, I'm a disaster with laundry .My dryer has a delicate cycle (as the washer does too) and if i am very careful and watch the clothing i can use the dryer for many things I would not normally put in there. On a somewhat related note, I have problems with jeans. If i buy the size i need they will fit fine when first put on, then end up baggy within couple hours. I have tried washing in hot water hoping they would shrink but it always seem the jeans that do this do not shrink.

the alternative to doing laundry is stinking
And we wouldn't want that to happen now ... would we?

Hmmmm ... you're sounding more and more like the laundry expert. Now I know who to contact when I need laundry help.

Interim UPDATE: Sweater is mostly dry and is at least 98% size.
Thanks again for everyone's support.
I know everyone was worried.
Don't worry Nathan Natas, this IS a true story.
Expect a final update later this evening once I try it back on. -

Chalk this one up to a learned experience and NEVER do it again.
Sorry, did it too and my poor sweater had to have last rites.
