LL, Outstanding indeed. Many great points already posted. Here's my contribution on JW procedures and loopholes. If I actually cared to do the utmost damage, and had the nerve to lie and play up the drama in return, here's how I'd proceed...
First off, you have at least seven days from the time you were notified, yesterday, to appeal. Also, the announcement of your disfellowshipping will not be for seven days or more until the next Service Meeting. Consequently, if their Service Meeting is on Tuesday, Christmas Eve, you have 6 more speaking days. Or if their Service Meeting is on Thursday, after Christmas, you have 8 days. You follow? Don't appeal. Don't DA. Let the announcing proceed on schedule. In the meantime, you have the opportunity to talk to as many as possible. Avoid the elders, and stay under the radar as you talk to as many sisters as you can, letting them know that the CO and the brothers are on top of the pedophile scandal, the Keep on the Watch! cancellation, and will be reading a special announcement during Local Announcements at the next Service Meeting clearing up the whole thing and that the Society is suing NBC and Silentlambs.org for slander, the Society hasn't spent $12.5 million to silence the victims, and that the cancellation of the Keep on the Watch! campaign is a fraud (show the gift I sent you, as well as assorted printouts from the NBC story, Silentlambs, etc.) and that the campaign exposing false religion is ON, as announced in the January KM. Share every last scandalous detail. Go to the Service Meeting next week for the announcement, when your audience is expecting this important information from the bOrg, sit in the back row, wave at the elder that goes up to announce your DF, afterward immediately burst into tears, knock over chairs as you run out crying, "What? Why Jehovah? Why have they done this TO THE CHILDREN ?!?!?"
Ah, yes, it would be a bother to pull off, but picturing it in your head is so sweet, ain't it?
