If Adam did not sin, would humans have lived forever on earth?

  Adam and Eve were kicked out of the Garden of Eden because if they remained, they could eat the fruit of the Tree of Life, which would make them IMmortal. If Adam and Eve had to eat the fruit of the Tree of Life to become IMmortal, then they were created mortal to begin with.

  Excellent point that I have not thought too much about in the past.

  Just goes to show , jwf, that most of us are preconditioned to understand the story as we were taught to understand it. Maybe, we read too much into a group of ancient scrolls written by nomadic sheep herders.
