Sadly, I did not notice it until tonight. She has an exceptionally long beautiful tail. It is held high except the last 4 inches which droops like a rag. She did not complain when I examined her. There are no puncture wounds, cuts, etc. anywhere. It does not feel broken, or swollen.
She is now about 10 years old, a long haired black and white Tuxedo cat.
From what I have read on the internet, I need to wait to see if the nerves regenerate. The nerves in the tail could have been stretched and damaged, from a bite on her spine or just someone pulling her tail. She is not in pain and is eating and drinking as usual.
One strange thing....she left a complete squirrel tail at the front door yesterday....no blood, just a beautiful tail, maybe she was trying to tell me something.
Does anyone have experience with this?
