After 90 posts the results look like this:

Raised- now christian: 14 Not raised -now christian: 9

    Raised- now atheist/agnostic: 27 Not "- now athiest/agnostic: 5

Raised- now pagan: 3 Not " -now pagan: 1

Raised -now undecided: 9 Not "- now undecided: 4

    Other results non-typical resutls:

    2 raised are now apthetic

2 raised in divided households are christian

one coverted at 13 is now a/a

one in since age of 6 is now pagan

    one raised is borderline atheist

one raised in is spiritual but has no religion

one converted at 12 is now christian

one raised since age of 5 is leaning towards Buddhism

one raised since the age of 8 is now muslim

    one raised is an "objectivist"

one raised sice the age of 4 is agnostic

    one not raised is "awkward"

one raised from the age of 5 is apathetic

    one raised is pantheistic/gnostic

All in all it seems being raised 'in' makes one inclined towards non-belief or non traditional beliefs.

What does that say about the religion Jehovah's Witness have carved out for themselves?

When other "christians" leave their family faith do they stop "believing" or do they mostly turn to another christian faith?

Have those of us "raised in", particularly in strongly theocratic families, seen and experienced enough bulls---t to last a lifetime?

When we are raised in and we leave, are the wounds somehow more personal?

What do you think is going on here?

changeling (I do not fancy this to be a "scientific" poll)

    1. Raised in the truth

    2. very theocratic family

    3. Agnostic (if there is a God he does not get involved in human affairs, he is too busy managing the Universe)

CHANGELING- In my opinion what I see going on here is the Witness religion was SO crammed down our throats as children being raised in it , and we found being overzealous in it was a waste of time - because the rewards were all fantasy, not real. So it made a lot of us not trust religion at all. At least myself. Those who were in the Witnesses but not strong might have sought out another religion because the witnesses did not satisfy them, therefore they did not excel in that , but maybe they wanted other " spiritual " answers in another religion. So this of course is just my humble opinion ! Peace out, Mr. Flipper
