i cant find any other translation that uses the word 'birthday' at hosea. usually 'the day of the king' or 'the day of the festival of the king.' it might be a birthday but it might be some other festival the king started, maybe on his inauguration day. at any rate, the bible is being critical of whatever day its discussing here, and the activities associated with it. if one DID interpret this to be a birthday, it would only support the WT stance, that birthdays are only ever mentioned critically in the bible.
