If it weren't for the US military we wouldn't be here right now freely exchanging information - that is a fact!

Is that a "fact" founded on personal opinion? The question is, and I'm assuming this based on the context of the previous posts, would it matter where our military was? Over there, or here on our own soil? What country in their right mind would attack the USA? Tens of thousands of nuclear weapons is a strong deterrent.

Rather than petitioning to patriotic fervor, let's just face the "fact" that no country in the world will ever invade the soil of the USA while we have nukes. Mutually Assured Destruction is the correct term I believe.

why don't they include the number of lives that have been saved in Iraq along with their vastly inflated figures of US "atrocities?"

Think about your statement for a second. How is it theoretically possible to count how many lives have been saved? How do you scientifically account for all those lives saved? Asking for the media to include the number of lives saved is like making someone prove that God exists. It cannot be done.

Todays media goes out of its way to find any incedent (such as the Abu-Grade debaucle) in order to bring distain on the military as a whole. Ask yourself, if the media is a fair and balanced entity, why don't they include the number of lives that have been saved in Iraq along with their vastly inflated figures of US "atrocities?" If it weren't for the US military we wouldn't be here right now freely exchanging information - that is a fact!

I Abu Ghraid is still going on we still torture prisoners in Iraq, and else where. If the war is going so well why do the people of Iraq and Afghanistan keep saying things were better under Saddam and the Taliban.

The media can't post survivors counts not even the US military keeps track of that. Though before the US invaded Iraq was a stable country. So any lives that have been lost since the war started (notice it's still called a war by the white house; at least in Vietnam they try to call it something like what it really is, a policing action, which literally means occupation) are America's fault fair, or not. Which is the media's job to report those.

If the planet is doomed, then so goes religion. But even if the planet continues unabated, time will prove just where WE are going. Any religion that cannot promise real truth will be forever doomed. The wts is one of them.
