My grandma says it, but that's about it. And we're NOT dull!!! Hey, celine dion came from quebec! She denies it, but that's okay! And what about our prime minister? Well... okay, you win...

    Canadians,

Once upon a time I took a train from Flint Michigan to Waterloo Canada to attend a BRCI conference. Whilst visiting there I got bored with one of the speakers, ehh, and went to the bar and commenced to talk with some of the locals. After much conversation, they said I was much more like a Canadian than an American (US type) is that a good thing?

Say what you like, they jumped to the aid of the UK during WW2 quicker than most.

    Eman,

True, but their own military leaders allowed them, and this tradition has not changed, to be used as cannon fodder.

This pattern still exists. The Canadians solid and courageous to a fault are always the first in and are always set up as the soft target, to test the firing power of the enemy, or test military strategies, or prepare the battlefield for the 'real' forces.

Imho, this situation develops from a national inferiority complex that stems from living next to the gigantic USA. What Trudeau ( Canada's only real politician ) called the elephant and bug theory.

As to its politicians; blend the brains of the whole of the Canadian Parliament together and you get Michael Foot on Ecstasy.
