Suppose I am trying to establish a fantastic new world order in which hunger would disappear ,no man exploited by another man , no homeless people , no unemployed ,and many more beautiful arrangements and I have masses that go with me - millions of people but I see you as a rich self- independent man who wants to go his own way of indpendent thinking and do things otherwise which is against what I and my followers want to do ! Should we allow you to disturb our plans or rather remove that person from the face of the earth ?

Oh, God, you would be a scary person if you had any power, OBVES. You just described a megalomaniac. No-one has the power to erase all those problems on the earth. Also, even if such a man could, fickle people being who they are, they would not automatically follow him. Look at what happened to Jesus.

WANDERLUST GUY- Hey bud, two thumbs up on the Watchtower study, great job dude ! A couple points I liked.

I thought the 144,000 were all dying off eventually to go to their alledged " heavenly assignment " ? Who knows, maybe the " great crowd" referred to those with a heavenly hope- and the Watchtower society got it wrong again in interpretation . And in reference to all the dates and timetables you printed in regards to your take on when the time of the end is , all I can say is 0 + 0 still equals = 0. Nothing is going to happen -

Seems the ruling class JWs in New York are worried that their lifestyle is in danger. They are pressing us poor folks out here to do THEIR work. Hey, they're the chosen ones, the annointed, the bible is about them not us, right? Its just sickening, and yes, as the concluding comment stated, we end up with a room full of literature. Is that the real life??

I'd like to add that para. 11 brought tears to my eyes...
To increase their opportunities of finding sincere ones, some Kingdom proclaimers have changed from full-time to part-time employment. Thousands of Christians have learned another language in order to reach certain ethnic groups in their area. Other disciple-makers have left home and moved to another area or country to share more fully in the harvest. (Matthew 9:37, 38) All of this calls for a self-sacrificing spirit. But more is needed to be an effective disciple maker.
Yes, I gave up college, never had a full-time job, moved to Bethel, spent personal time learning another language, was completely self-sacrificing, and yet I found that WTBTS said that more was needed from me. That's when I mentally said, "screw you!"
Yeah, let's be more like Jesus. Jesus didn't start preaching until he was 30, finished when he was 33 1/2, and has taken the next 2,000 years off to let others make his disciples for him. Okay, I've done over 5 times my 3 1/2 years of preaching, so, I'll take the next 11,000 years off...
If you need me, I'll be waiting with OBVES for God to kill 6 billion people so I can have my pet tiger.

Not a lot of varied points in this article, I suggest that a few WT conductors will struggle for comments today .
Obves made the best point of all though. A controlling Organization cannot allow independent thought . Do we chose an ordered dictatorship or freedom with all its problems? It has long been a maxim of mine that any dictator with enough power could achieve world peace - at a cost...
Anyway .
2) Centuries later, Jesus Christ gave his followers this commission: "Go ... and make disciples of people of all the nations, .. . teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you." (Matthew 28:19, 20) Never before had people been given the privilege of doing anything quite like this. What qualities are needed for the disciple-making work? How can we cultivate such traits?
Pardon me but this has to be a fallacious "Appeal to Authority" - Jesus spoke to his original followers, they were preaching what Paul called "Christ impaled" and spreading faith in the resurrected Christ. Today the Watchtower poach Christians from other churches. Their message is that you have to "Believe on the Watchtower society to get saved". The New World is a hope of their own invention. My point is that the work that faithful dubs are doing is not what Jesus what talking about. They should not apply it to their own work to gain members. Although I laboured for many years in the false belief that they were right .
12) Patience is another quality that helps us to make disciples. Our Christian message calls for urgent action, but making disciples often takes considerable time and requires patience. (1 Corinthians 7:29) Jesus was not impatient with his half brother James. Although James apparently was well acquainted with Jesus' preaching activities, for a time something held him back from becoming a disciple .
This is a shift in emphasis...it used to be that the end was so close they had to move quickly or dubs stopped the study.
