I have never come across JWs sanctioning visual imagery and similar "new age" customs before. I am rather surprised there isn't a JC convened since they are obviously getting wrapped up in Pagan thoughts and behaviors.

The WTS has so muddied the water on what is ok and not ok regarding blood - I wonder if all the possible options were explored, or whether it was just a blanket dogmatic "no blood (or fractions thereof, even though it might be ok)" attitude that prevailed.

    Poor kid...

maybe i'm out of date, but i was brought up thinking one had to avoid meditation as that was a way of letting demons in.

That is absolutely true. Articles against meditation were in the Watchtower. This is strange. Elton, thanks for your posts and email addy. I'd like to keep up with this story, and find out if anything is being done about this so-called judge, who obviously did not take the time to find out ALL the facts.

Hi Elton..nice to see you posting here! This is an excellent board and I hope you stick around for a while..I remember you from Tim's board...

    Snoozy...

ps..I remember a JW boy that was 14 that had an appendicitis attack..it ended up bursting and they were going to get a court order to give him blood. Well the parents took him out of the hospital and the witnesses got him a ticket to the JW hospital in Texas. He made it there OK and the operation was succesful.Without blood I might add..you know they were singing praises to Jehovah after that.

Well about a year later the kid went swimming with some other JW friends and drowned...I always thought that was so ironic..it still blows my mind to this day.
