would you sell out for 1million? 5million? 10million?

with the understanding that you would not create one like it or similar to it?

Along the same lines, I wonder how much money the WT has lost because of this site. What is JWD worth?

The WT has their checkbook ready.

This site surpasses all monetary value with the knowledge it holds.

Now if they were to go to the 8th digit...

Depends on where you live as to when the first post of the new year is made, we'll get 2008 more than 12 hours before you.

Simon may prove me wrong,....but it is a "Domain Name" and he maintains this for the benefit of us all. It would never be for sale.

For those who do not understand, a website is paid for by the host, on a continual basis, and the the larger it gets the more expensive and aggravating it gets.

Don't ever think this site could be owned unless Simon decided to release it.

I am sure he suffers with much aggrravation.......though he never says so.

Hell yeah, I'd sell it, take the cash, and give a backup of the site to Elsewhere. He'd know what to do with it.

It would cost every penny the Watchtower Society owns, and then some.

It would be easy to place a value based on the number of posts. This is common industry practice, and at $5-$10 per post then maybe Simon would listen. In reality, I wouldn't be surprised if Simon was approached in the past to sell the site or close it down, either directly or through a third party. If he hasn't, its only because the WTS is clueless. The feeble attempts by wannabes to create similar sites just shows that there is no equal to this site and that the success of this site is due in large measure to the integrity the owners have shown in sticking to their own principles and vision for what this site should be about.

The real value of the site is priceless and the purpose of it being set up in the first place was not for profit, and for that reason I don't think the owners would sell for any price.

I on the other hand, would take the money and spend the first year on the World Poker tour trying to parlay it into 12M.
