Thanks for posting that. So now that the convention has a theme, there will be conventions -- and the JW's can stop their talk about the end coming in 2008.
I think "Guided by the Spirit of Freddie Franz" would have been a more accurate theme.

Just remember folks -- they are guided / directed by the spirit -- but they are NOT INSPIRED. So when they make mistakes in teachings or prophecy, remember they are not inspired -- just directed. Aaaaaarrrrrrggggghhhhh.

I really want to call my Mom up and ask her why at the DC they got everyone's hopes up by making such a ridiculous statement as, "as for next years District Conventions theme? Well we will have to see next year won't we?". The speaker said this right after talking about how the end was so close! Then smiled while he said it (supposedly). My Mom was so excited. I told her then that the society shouldn't be making such ridiculous statements. Now I really want to say, "guess they don't have much faith in their expectation huh?".
