Just remember folks -- they are guided / directed by the spirit -- but they are NOT INSPIRED. So when they make mistakes in teachings or prophecy, remember they are not inspired -- just directed. Aaaaaarrrrrrggggghhhhh. So, why do they say that we should listen to them and not just do what we feel is the right thing to do? I mean, before, they said that we should do what they say because the holy spirit was directing them. So, now, what do they say that sets them apart? I can't figure that one out... They have to say something...

I have a gut feeling that there is something behind that. It took a long time until they released the theme. They have recently changed the "annointed" tenet. It might be that they change it now to everybody being sprititual annointed.

I mean, before, they said that we should do what they say because the holy spirit was directing them. So, now, what do they say that sets them apart? I can't figure that one out... They have to say something...
Better watch it with that "independent thinking", Cognac! What they say that sets them apart -- why they use the name Jehovah, and have so much love, and are the only ones preaching the TRUTH !! Never mind little details like people dying due to the blood issue.
They have recently changed the "annointed" tenet. It might be that they change it now to everybody being sprititual annointed.
Maybe they're heading that direction. Wouldn't that be interesting? But they'd have to first make the 144,000 number in Revelation symbolic instead of literal.

This is another "means nothing" theme:
2007- Follow the Christ (by following us, here's how)
2008- Guided by the Spirit of God (so do as we say)
All the theme means is that everyday, there will be talks based on
that theme. All their indoctrination talks can basically be adapted to
such a generic theme.This does give room for us to criticize them. How are they guided by
the spirit of God? What made God so confused? How can God guide
them to let children die or be abused repeatedly? -

Independent thinking... That's funny Gopher, cause an elder recently counseled me on doing "independent studing" cause I was doing a ton of studing for my bible studies but not enough time studing for the regular meetings...
Anyways, they have to say something that makes it so that regular JWs go by what the gov. body says instead of what we understand is written... I want to ask an elder what has replaced them having the holy spirit in that we should listen to them instead of ourselves...
