    My name means...

From the Germanic name Wilhelm, which was composed of the elements wil "will, desire" and helm "helmet, protection".

I am protective of my friends and family. And, on occasion I do desire a nice helmet.

My first name. I never met another Heather my whole life. Then all of sudden during the 80's everyone decided to name their daughters Heather, much to my chagrin. Up until that time I didn't bother looking in the box of alphabits to see if there was a Heather bicycle license plate, there wasn't going to be one:

The girl's name Heather \he(a)-ther\ is pronounced HEH-ther. It is of Middle English origin. Flower name: an evergreenfloweringplant that thrives on peaty barren lands, as in Scotland. Has an upper-classaura. Actress Heather Locklear.

Heather has 2 variant forms: Heath and Hether.

My second name, which according to the graph, was most popular about the time I was born:

The boy's and girl's name Dana \d(a)-na\ is pronounced DAY-nah. It is of Old English origin, and its meaning is "from Denmark". A surname also used as a variant of Daniel. Actress Dana Delany.
