I too had something wonderful happen to me a couple of weeks ago. I will post about it soon. I am kinda holding my breath making sure it will last. Good, and wonderful things do happen, and fall into our laps.

Is it angels? Is it fate? I don't know, but I like it.

About 4 years ago, I saw in the catalog of courses for a business convention, that they were giving away 2 round trip airline tickets, in the Continental US. I said, I am going to win those." Not that I hoped, or wished, but I would win them. 2 months later, when I went to the convention, I sought out the container to put my entry in. I was present for the drawing. I just knew I would win.

The lady drawing the name, turned the drum, and reached in, to get a name, and a cry from the audiance rang out, "Wait, Wait!!!!!". A lady was running up, to put her name in. She was allowed to, and the drum was closed, and spun again. Again, the lady reached in, to pick out a name, and they called MY name.

It was no surprise at all. Everybody clapping, hundreds of people, and I acted like it was no big deal. Granted I was happy, but not surprised.

My husband likened it to a major league ball player, getting up to bat, and knowing, just knowing, that he was going to hit a home run. And he does.

Angels?? Fate?? Luck?? Karma?? I don't know, but enjoy the ride!!!!!!! And it does make you forget alot of the crappy things in life.

IMO, it's best not to discuss it. You had a PERSONAL experience. It was for you only. I would not openly reveal

it on this board and would be very careful who else I discussed it with. Hold it to your heart and cherish it as a gift.

Don't throw it out there to be picked apart and criticized. YOU KNOW WHAT IT WAS AND IS. It's not necessary

for anybody else to know. Just my personal opinion.

Wander, I am glad you shared this with us. We all need to hear that good things are happening to people we love and hold dear. And it's encouraging. Please don't be afraid to hold back. So there are people who are skeptics. We know this. Then there are those of us who are with you on it and need to hear about your twilight zone events.

    agreeing with all the above posters;

is it possible that youre thinking a little too deeply about all this?

Take the rough with the smooth and enjoy it while it lasts.

Maybe the reasons are to do with more than one aspect of how you're wired to life. As with the JWs who taught us all so many ways of reasoning to buld some sort of unreacheable ambition!

Also if you dont have loved ones or ones you love around you and showing you genuine base instinct affection just for being who you are, you likely will always feel as though you aren't quite acheiving something that it is natural for our speceis to feel as part of everyday life over the past few thousand years of our existrence and complex intellectual/ emotional evolution. Society is manoevering itself so rapidly many of us can't evolve into what is expected of us within the few short generations that are imposing it upon us!

WLG, when my husband left the borg things fell into place for us too. If you're religious, you could say God was blessing you for leaving an evil place. Or you could say you have been a good person either in this life or a past life, and you are being blessed. You know, karma and everything.

Or you could say you have found where you are supposed to be on this planet, doing what you are meant to do. My family has also found where we are supposed to be. It's a great feeling isn't it? I'm happy for you.

Your story reminds me a little bit of what it was like when I moved to Innisfail. There were only two apartment buildings in town, and by the reference of a friend, I got in the better one. I walked in to the closest church that first Sunday, and made a fast friend. I was embraced by the community so fast, it was like I'd always been there. Marilyn and I walked through town every morning, bottle picking and picking up lucky pennies (much to the embarrassment of my citified daughter), stopping at A & W for a morning tea before heading to work.

It is a great town, and I got the best haircut of my life.

I really must go back for a visit. Great people.
