Hey, I think 10 lbs in 10 weeks would be EASY...

Wait. Do you mean 10 fewer lbs?

well that is the direction I want to go - but you can go the other way if you like as long as you post your progress!

I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet, but if you are a fast food junkie and like taco bell, you should really try out their new fresco menu. They have 9 items w/ 9 grams of fat or less and nothing has more than 330 calories. I decided that I have been really good for the past few weeks and bought my lunch today. I had 2 crunchy fresco tacos. Each had 8 grams of fat and were 150 calories. They were very tastey and, to be quite honest, better than their original SUPREME counterparts.

oh - I'm going to try that. I often go to Del Taco for the breakfast burrito or the bean burrito - everything else has a deadly amount of calories. I miss crunchy tacos - I'm going to try Taco Bell this week.

just checking in for the day - kept within my calories, taught an acupressure class. On my feet moving around for 4 hours, so I called it 30 minutes of exercise. I still wonder how to decide how many calories I expend doing a deep tissue massage - I call it 30 minutes of light free weights - all I can think to relate it to. So for a 60 minute massage, I give myself 30 minutes credit for a light workout, about 100 calories. Does anyone have any input? Mincan? Kensei? anyone else?

I started following the WW plan 8 weeks ago and I have lost 15lbs. I started off on 22 points, and I am now having 20 points per day. My points allowance is based on gender, height, weight and activity level. The points value of a food is calculated from calorific value and saturated fat, so it encourages a reduction in the level of saturated fat in my diet. (Fibre is not counted in the UK.)

I would like to have another baby, and I am determined that I won't be giving birth in hospital, festooned with drips and monitors. That is my main reason for losing weight - I want to get my blood pressure down so I can birth normally at home.

I have found it really easy to stick to the plan, and I think that this is 90% my mental attitude. I am pretty unique because I haven't got a slow metabolism, glands, big bones......I just ate too much. Now I don't.

well the truth is, no matter about the glands, big bones, genetics, whatever, we all get fat because we take in more calories than we consume. I have faced that and realize I just can't eat the way I used to eat. I'll get diabetes, and I don't want that. I ate a pretty high fat diet. Now I don't. Simple, eh? except it takes an attitude adjustment, as you said.

    Hypothyroidism?

on one hand you have the reason you overeat - could be genetics, chemicals in the brain, comfort, hypothyroidism, addiction, you name it. But on the other hand, the result is still more calories being consumed than calories being used. Even the most drastic barbaric methods for losing weight, like those surgeries, still work because calories are limited. Limit calories. Not easy, because of the genetics, addiction, chemicals in the brain, etc., but still the only way - well, eat less AND exercise.

I lost two and a half pounds, finally. How is everyone else doing?
