three pounds is great - are you still doing that amazing amount of work at the gym? I just take nice walks most days, but it seems to be working.

    Checking in...still on plan!

Got a little frustrated that I had been right on with my WW points for 10 days and wasn't seeing any progress. Somehow that lead to the inhalation of a large portion of a box of Captain Crunch (that is EVIL stuff!). Surprisingly I was down a little bit at my last weigh in, which was a big shocker.

Not sure if I'm going for an official weigh-in tomorrow night or if I'll wait til Saturday. I'll post my numbers when they are official.

Keep up the great work everyone!

those damned plateaus - I didn't lose any weight for the first three weeks of this effort, but this week lost 2.5 pounds, so I'm glad I stuck to my calories. I went overboard one day last week, eating out, but it didn't seem to hurt. Like you, my weight went down after that.

Wanted to come back and say Great Job on the weight loss Hortensia! I can see from your posts how hard you are working at it and it definitely encourages me. Oh and the thought of getting a massage.....aaaaahhhhhhhhhh I SO need one. I'm on the west coast, how much are plane tickets these days? Maybe one day I'll get down there.

Just saw your post, we sound a lot alike! I'm doing WW too. Kind of took the month of December off, but I"m getting back on track now.

I too want another baby and getting rid of this weight is a big motivater for me. If I do get pregnant I don't want to go through what I did last time. I ended up having the birth I wanted, unmedicated, out of hospital and in a big tub of warm water) but we had to induce my labor with castor oil and finally breaking the bag of waters due to rising blood pressure and protein in my urine.

Usually having the baby "fixes" the pre-e problem but in my case it didn't. I was already back home when the blood results came back and my midwife called me and told me to hightail it to the hospital, there was a bed waiting for me. 24 hours on magnesium sulfate, a miserable 2 days in the hospital, and long recovery later and I was semi-normal again.

This time around I want to give myself every advantage. Less weight, thyroid under control, high protein diet during pregnancy and hopefully I can have another water birth again. It is definitely something I feel is worth working for.

I wish you MUCH success with your weight loss journey and your plans for future pregnancy and birth!

Hey Hortensia, nah i had to start over again, now i'm back down to about 45mins between the elliptical trainer/treads,burning only about 500-600cals per workout, not including weights. I had a pinched nerve or something last week, and missed the majority of my workouts because i was stuck at the house in excruciating pain,it was like a migraine but only in half of my head, and my neck hurt on that side too so.... Eventually it worked itself out though, but it ruined my workout regimen. I think it's partially because i have wide shoulders,if i sleep on my side, the bones and vertebrae somehow jostle up,and when i wake up,i'm hurting, but that was the worse time it happened in a while though._KS

    Okay,

Today is two weeks. I've gone from 210.5 to 202.5. That's 8 pounds in 2 weeks. I could have done better but I've been stressing a bit and eating way to many of the Atkin bars. Today I returned to the, 20 carbs a day, routine. 22.5 pounds to go!

By the way, 6 months ago I started at 230!

    Best,

    Bryan
