OK, well that is pretty much what I was picturing so I guess I was right. It's interesting that the link says the real point of a donkey show is to get lots of people to spend lots of money on alcohol and that more often than not they don't even have an actual donkey show because they just wait until everyone gets piss drunk and then leaves. Very interesting.
Besides, you don't have to go to Mexico to see a donkey show. If you are really into that sort of thing, you can just frequent your local porn store.
