Jefferson was a hippocrite... I went to Montecello this last year, and he was present for slave whippings and the like...he knew slavery was wrong and yet wouldn't free them... and little of what he wrote or thought was original... read Hobbs, and Locke if you want to read the orginators of Jefferson's thoughts.
I think Jefferson was a fraud, but if Sally Hemmings looked like Halley Berry, I could at least understand that indescretion, but even the life, liberty and pursuit of happiness line wasn't orginial. ANd he didn't pen the Declairation buy himself, Franklin and others helped....
Now for a real American genius, Franklin.... that man had it going on.
