Why don't I see any pastors or clergy on this forum?

Donchya know us apostates eat pastors for breakfast. Ministers are a mid day snack. JW Elders are consumed like a handful of M&M's.

Not to mention the fact that agnostics and atheists out number the 'god-fearing' here. There are easier pastures me thinks.

We should develop a few recipes for different kind of Pastor (pasta) sauces...

a garlic sauce for the vampire Pastors

The self righteous Catholic Priest angel hair pasta sauce made with Altar Boy Sausage (okay that was low even for me)

Born Again Pasta Sauce (leftovers from the night before) and re-baked

Oh dear, oh dear! "Let the reader use discernment" -remember those words from our days in "The Truthâ„¢"?

Maybe they wisely don't see the need to advertise it, I can assure you there are several I know personally who visit this site to gain more understanding of what it means to be held captive by the Borg. They do it so they can be better equipped to help others.

As far as ministers actually registered on JWD, I know a few and, yes, they have posted, sometimes frequently.

Still, it wouldn't be helpful to now start a 'witch hunt' about that, would it?

I think we've all had more than enough with issues of people and their identities to last us more than this lifetime!

    lavendar,

Some appreciation for your feeble attempt at humor(fundies laugh, too). You may want to check a couple of my earlier posts. The impeccable WIKIPEDIA:

"studies have shown that the earliest known version of the Book of Revelation (from the 3rd century) used 616. One 11th century manuscript also shows 665.

All that aside, I took the liberty to scan your profile. I notice that you are not a JW, but that your son has married one and is "progressing" toward baptism. I genuinely feel for you, your son and future grandchildren. It's going to be a long, painful haul.

weren't we all ordained by the WTBTS? I remember back in the day - 1960s it was - that even women could say to the police for instance that they were ordained ministers. I remember once when one "sister" and a bunch of kids including me were picked up by the Navy police for field service in Navy housing. The Navy was arguing that we were soliciting and the "sister" with all these kids was arguing that all of us who were baptized were ordained ministers and the Navy couldn't stop us from preaching. Strange, very strange. When I look back now at all that crap, I see it as the outsiders would see it and it looks crazy to me. As a friend of mine says, "it looks crazy because it is crazy."

    Hi TMS!

Interesting.....about the different numbers. Hadn't heard that before. (sorry about the 666 thing.....just trying to be funny...heh heh)

I genuinely feel for you, your son and future grandchildren.

    Thank you; I appreciate that.

It's going to be a long, painful haul.

......well, it's already painful; but we're hoping it won't be terribly long. We're using Steven Hassan's advice (Releasing The Bonds) and hopefully one day soon, they'll start thinking for themselves and leave the WTS. Others have done it.....why not my children?

I wish you all the best, TMS!
