  I don't think "afraid" is the right word, but it's close. CAREFUL is more like it. For me, at least.

  Earlier today, I "called you out" over on my Aux Pioneering thread. When I did it I was CAREFUL to hopefully not come across like I thought it was a big deal (I don't think either of us did) or that I thought you were some immoral hypocrite trying to deceive everyone.

  There's SO MUCH communication that just can't happen via the written word. It's very easy to imagine hostility where none actually exists. I've always enjoyed your posts OUTLAW. Especially your updates from the wild mountains.

  Having said all that, I still think I'm gonna have to come up to Canada and kick your ass.

  Even when I know people like you will pop up on my thread an belittle me.

  I am a very kind person, but I call B*LL S**T when I see it.

  I don't mind lying in my bed once I've made it.

  While I don't enjoy being harassed, I prefer it to keeping silent when I see something wrong.

  I see no problem with having a difference of opinion and discussing it. Growing up I was not allowed to have an opinion so for a long time I just went with everyone else's. Then when I got married and was free to express myself I went a bit overboard the other way. Now I have evened out. When discussing with my JW mil the holidays, she said she wouldn't celebrate Halloween because it is a Catholic holiday. I said that it was actually a pagan holiday. I told her it's OK if you don't agree with it, we don't need to agree on everything. If you listen to the other side of the argument you may learn something.

  sharing a differing opinion is well and good if it sheds light on the subject, but if its just clashing of opinions for the sake of argumentation, I don't have the energy to waste the time. I tend to ask a question to get the poster to consider the consequences of their dogmatic pronouncement, but rarely much beyond that! carmel

  Myself. I find myself venting. I dont really come here to tell anyone off, sorry if I ever sound that way. I try to look at life as a journey and we are all at different points of the journey. At one time many of us pretty much felt the same way about a lot of things. Now we are diverging off in various directions. It took me 26 years out of the Tower to think like I do today. And I dont know what I'll think 10 - 20 years from now. In the past I have made some statements that have riled up some people, a certain element or type of person. I have since stayed away from those topics. I'm not really trying to piss anyone off. Most of us can agree that the wac tower society was a dark spot in our lives. And thats the commonality that brings me here. I came to the reality when I escaped the tower that I have no friends. I am not looking for any friends. I have associates people that I work with and talk to. I have lived long enough to conclude that a person may have 1 or 2 friends in a life time. I have friends that play music. We are associates as long as the band stays together. Untill it falls apart or someone gets a better deal. When I was younger I had friends I played sports with, associates we played together as long as we all made the team or until we went to play with a better team. I work in law enforcement in a jail. The officers and brass will smile in your face until you cross the line and they stick the knife in your back. What I'm trying to say is if in law enforcement you make certain errors, cross certain lines, your out. Just like getting kicked out of the kingdumb hall. Once your out you dont have much to base a friendship on. This hasnt happened to me yet and I hope it never does. But I see it happen all the time. Its a reality of working in a beaurcratic paramilitary organization. Same when I made tools, when you didnt work for the company any longer there wasnt much to base a friendship on. So if by friendship you mean HI, Buddies. I got a ton of those. HI Buddie. Even the inmates are my Hi Buddies.
