Here's the link to an interesting study done by one hospital in the UK. They get 200-300 JW maternity patients a year. The patients who refuse blood transfusion have a mortality rate 100x that of women who do not refuse blood transfusions! 1 death per 1000 for JW maternity patients. 1 death per 100,000 for maternity patients who accept blood tranfusions.

How many witnesses,?
What is the birth rate in the US.
Each birth means one delivery risk of bleeding.
No of Witnesses X birth rate= number of births/divided by 1000= number of potential deaths of JWs.

I don't have any figures for the US as of yet Belbab.
The UK hospital study is probably a good indicator, though, as the standard of medical care in England, Canada and the US is quite comparable. I'm guessing that the mortality rates amoung JW's would be comparable also. When I find any stats on the US or Canada, I will definitely post them.
