This was running on the Barbara Anderson's Comments from her CD compilation now online!http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/151081/3.ashx

I thought it needed it's own place.

Documents showed the Tower suggests $4.50 per publisher. the insurance has been in place since 1989.

For just in the last year, in America alone, the Tower had made 4.5 million just on Insurence premiums. and until the pedophile scandal, they probably have paid out 10 thousands here and there.

That's quite an income just on the side...

I did the accounts for almost ten years and i remenber being told the KHAA was for medical and car insurance. I remenber asking a CO once if the "Society" had insurnace in case of lawsuits, he said the Society does not get sued.

Your Honor, the elders did it all on their own, we're not responsible for over zealous elders who take our poo seriously.

It used to irritate me when they broke costs down per publisher. Nothing like telling you how much you HAD to give them. But then it irritated me too when they just kept adding on costs they expected you to cover, like insurance and new cars for the COs. Why do they need a nicer car then the ones who actually pay for them?

It's all a racket. They were right about that.

why haven't they come out with their own credit card? The Kingdom visa or mastercard ought to make a good amount of $$$ for them, especially because they would probably charge a pretty high interest.

Hortensia, Don't give them and ideas.

A tank of gas for field service $50, living forever in paradise priceless.

yeah, you're right. The JW GB spies are probably already rushing to the GB to share the idea! But it makes sense, they already do mortgages and loans and insurance, they buy/sell cars, why not go the distance and offer credit cards?

I don't give a fxxx how much it costs per publisher. My contribution is going to be zero. If that causes them to foreclose, too bad. If they end up having to give the hounder-hounder a Yugo instead of a Rolls Royce, too bad. If the hounder-hounder gets cancer and needs treatment, and my refusal to pay results in his dying a few days earlier, too bad. I refuse to pay anything for an organization that gives me negative value and extorts positive payments.

A credit card? Great idea! That ought to cost them big bucks when we all get those cards, run up huge bills, and then default. And I wonder how much it costs them each time someone charges something back or buys some crap on purpose and then exercises any warranty on it. Plus, if you have the $50 to waste, let someone steal the card on purpose and run up huge unauthorized bills on it. They have to, by law, limit your liability to $50. If someone runs up a $500,000 bill, they will be out $499,950 on it. That will be $499,950 right out of the Worldwide Pedophile Defense Fund.
