This, and the next 3 posts, were the result of a lagging server that refused to activate on the first try but instead saved all my attempts and posted them all at once.

They can be self insuredif they want to take the risk...which is far lesser than the damages accummulated. After all, the world wide fund or any other account which the publishers pay into can be used as an insurance slush fund.

why haven't they come out with their own credit card? The Kingdom visa or mastercard ought to make a good amount of $$$ for them, especially because they would probably charge a pretty high interest.

That's genious. They'll find a way to put a theocratic spin on it, like maybe the interest they collect goes back to fund kingdom interest. A great way to "put the kingdom interests first" while you shop. Another "loving provision from Jehovah's organization."

I swear, we have got to stop giving them ideas.

Great thinking, they just gotta go for it.

Then they can track everyplace you spend your money,

    porn movies,

    houses of ill repute

    liquor stores.

Credit Cards wouldn't work for the watchtower.

The rank and file aren't educated enough to keep a ballanced budget, so they default on the card.

MOTHER now puts them into collections.

After a hundred, spirit guided, collection phone calls and elders knocking on their doors the uneducated publishers get pissed off and say screw you Watchtower!

I looked up Church Insurance and found that there are three major insurance companies for Church Insurance in the US. All of them advise screening processes for there volunteer workers.

Church Mutual Insurance Co., GuideOne Insurance Co. and
    Brotherhood Mutual Insurance Co.

Together, they represent a large chunk of all U.S. Protestant churches.

Each of these compainies advocate careful screening of all volunteer workers

The following is a quote from Brotherhood Mutual Insurance Co. website:

Carefully screening people before allowing them to work in your ministry is an important investment in your ministry’s future. Here are a few reasons why:
    1. It’s one of the best ways of protecting your church from incidents of child sexual assault.
    2. It helps you avoid
appointing staff or volunteerswho might skim money from church accounts.
    3. It allows you to select drivers for church vehicles who have safe driving records.
    4. It’s a prudent step to take before allowing someone to become a leader in your ministry. Without it, you run the risk of having someone misrepresent his or her background.
    5. If you communicate that your ministry is committed to making itself a safe haven for children, screening could become a tool that attracts volunteers and new members.
    6. It also reduces your liability in court if you should accidentally hire someone who commits acrime, because it demonstrates that your ministry has taken reasonable care to safeguard its members.

They advise criminal checks, former employer checks, child abuse records, the whole package. They advocate yearly updates on all their workers.

If the Watchtower supplements it KHAA insurance scheme, I am sure they would have to enlist with one of the largest Non-Catholic insurance companies that has nationwide coverage.

What screening policies does the Watchtower conduct for its volunteers from micro-humper to vehicle drivers, to literature assistance etc. The Watchtower can become liable for any crime or negligence that their volunteers may perpetuate. If their associate insurance companies no of their grooming and training practices, whoo, whoo, immediate jack-up price!

Here is a few I can think of for now.

    own a suit
    own a shiny briefcase
knows how to raise his arm quickly not bent at the elbow at meetings.
never seen with his fly open
does not linger too long at the urinal stalls, no chit chat with fellow uninators.
greets the CO with a holy-kiss in the appropriate places and can tie his shoelaces while gazing into his eyes.

    do you have any more?

belbab, you are making me laugh. I see there are pros and cons as far as credit cards go - pros being the earnings on interest and additional control (where have you been spending your money?) The cons would be the folks who run up their credit cards and don't pay their bills. You're right, collections would be difficult, but I bet the true believers would pay their credit card bill before they paid their rent.
