Bet you never did this before!

Thursday nights I cook dinner next door for my aunt, my cousin and her three girls. So this past Thursday, right after dinner, cognac called me on my cell phone. I was cleaning up, and getting ready to go back home. I was taking the extra veggies etc home as well as some other stuff...so everything went in a bag...including my second cell phone. I was kind of distracted because I was deep in conversation with cognac. I get home and put everything away, and didn't give it another thought.

The next morning I'm getting myself organized and it occurs to me that my other cell is nowhere to be seen. ( I have 2 cell phones...1 for business, 1 personal) I hunt for it...go next door to my aunt's house...it's nowhere. So I call it (my usual method for locating it) It goes straight to voicemail. It finally dawns on me...and I look in the frig. There it is...hiding under the parsley! No wonder I never heard it ring... I doubt there's a signal inside the refrigerator!

I COULD tell you, but it would get your thread locked.
Just kidding. I have one of those dorky blackberry and holster, I carry it for work, so It's rarely off my hip.
Plus I'm one of those Anal types who has to put keys, wallet, phone and watch in the same place every evening.

It's not where I left it, it's where it ended up that was so bizarre. I couldn't find it for 2 days and ended up calling my cell provider to have the number frozen. My car is very clean, but I finally decided to rip it apart (moving seats forward and backward, as well as removing all of the floor mats). I finally found it wedged tight inbetween where the floor meets the bottom of the dash board. Then, I remembered exactly what had happened...I was in traffic on the beltway going at least 65-70MPH when everyone came to a complete stop. I slammed on the brakes, only to have my purse go flying onto and dumping out into the floor. Ever since, I put my purse on the passenger side floor and wrap the handles around the gear shift...no more spillage!

While moving, I was carrying in a box of rarely used kitchen ware, talking on cell phone. A few hours later can't find my phone, a frantic search ensues, we never find the thing. FF 2yrs later, have a new recipe for the crockpot. I open the lid and there is the long lost phone, dead and obsolete.

I heard about a case where a woman stole a phone of the "live bar' at cingular and took it in the bathroom with her. She came out and was confronted and completely denied having the phone. The police came and dialed the number... The phone could be heard faintly ringing...

Ok I'll leave the rest to your imaginations... I just always wondered if they cleaned up the phone and sold it to someone? UGH UGH UGH!!!

Coffeeblack: I've done the fridge thing too. On my way home from the supermarket, phone rings, in a hurry so I chuck it in one of the grocery bags. Yep, phone was found in the fridge later that day.
