hmmm, not sure about that one..
However, i did leave my engagement ring inside a public bathroom once... Ran back and found it, thank goodness!!!

In my hand, while I was searching for it, believing it was lost.
I've done the same thing with my glasses, planted firmly on my nose as I searched the house for them.
