  I'm going to guess that the first one had no windows and has been copied ever since. No one knows why, that's just the way it's always been done.

  Actually Ozzie,

  The reason for the lack on windows is because, once Armageddon hits, the dubs will be hiding out in those buildings. These buildings will have Jehovah's protection, but because of the molecular structure of GLASS, Jehovah has not yet figured out how to protect his people behind this clear form, ie. Super Man and Kryptonite. With brick he has no problem.
