So, are any of you introvert/recluse? yes Are you comfortable with that part of yourself? yes. Are you concerned that your idea of a good time is to drink wine and watch a movie ALONE? no. When I'm not with my husband, I don't mind being by myself. Friends are too stressful.
Any introverts out there?

ITSJ - Introverted, Sensing, Thinking, Judging. Very internally oriented. Leads to sympathy and empathy with others, having gotten to know myself as well as I do. PS - IQ 156, they tell me, though that was long ago and I'm sure the senility has started to balance that out (besides, IQ is age-range adjusted and tends to flatten over time).
Do you think you are too introspective because of your chosen isolation?
It's a self-reinforcing system, yes. But much of my work is analysis of processes and systems, which has a highly introspective component.
In my case, a lot of my introversion is due to trust issues, I experience anxiety in groups. But at work I can engage with lots of people (serially), and can speak in front of groups (thanks, Theocratic Ministry School); it doesn't require a level of intimacy which I can hold in reserve. Interacting is a skill I can "turn on". But off the clock - hate parties, hate get-togethers, throw me a chocolate chip cookie and a good book and I'm fine.
I'm really comfortable around only a small handfull of people, and even then I don't do well when I'm with the lot of them at the same time. Thankfully, I'm ok with my partner, another introvert.
