Isn't this whole waking up from your religion quite a roller coaster ride? It's wild. Thankfully only my mother is involved as far as family goes. I honestly don't know how you guys who lose all your family can deal with that. It must be incredibly painful.

Us Southerners know how much we love our famlies... and you're right, I have softened... mostly becasue I see you all as real people now... At first I was just angry that we didn't stand up and fight... zI want this madness to end... sick of being the Satan in the family... but my resolve was better spent attacking those that needed to be attacked...thank you Sis... and there'll be only one game next year that I won't say...Rolllllll.... Tide.... I bet you know that game don't you?

Now you got me longing for summer time and then football season. I wish my life away waiting for football. You got me pulling for Georgia, except for that one weekend when we'll have to agree to disagree. LOL

While reading your thread, I noticed you are from Georgia. Thought you'd like to hear of my experience travelling through your state to Disneyworld, July 1993.
Now we live in a cool climate here in the Vancouver area, so wildlife in your state are quite different than we have here. Our area is full of brown bears, geese,moose, cows, racoons, cyotes and other critters. During our drive through the interstate I couldn't believe what I had to suddenly swerve around on your main freeway. The biggest fattest snake slithering over the highway. I swerved off the freeway to avoid this beast and just about crapped my pants. Just for a moment, I considered stopping to get a close-up, but us Canucks have little idea of what kind of trouble I was getting into, so we got back on and continued to Orlando with a story to tell back home.
Also we went to one of your KFC outlets and noticed a buffet lunch there. We ordered it and sat down to what I thought was a pretty decent spread. I picked a few chicken nuggets and sat down to try one. Well holy cow! Definitely not white meat, aparrently not even meat!!! I don't even know what a gizzard is, but I can tell you it was not pleasant. Something to do with a chicken all right, but gross.
I also tried boiled peanuts-well I think they are an aquired taste.
Anyway enough of the trip. You seem happy here and that is good to see. Take care. Bill.
Hey Dawg- How ya doin' buddy ? Just wanted to say I've learned a lot from you too ! I know how you feel about many things as you and I have talked - our dad's have been long time elders since time began . And lots of my family treats me as a bad disease as well. But you have shown me I need to stay courageous and not give up on trying to get my daughters out of the witness cult - and to keep being a strong voice for what is right and just ! I too feel a closeness with many on the board and their input they give ! So here's to ya Dawg - I'd have a shot of tequila with you if you were here tonight- but since you're not I'll drink a toast to you and down a shot and say - Thanks for your contribution to the board. Here's a toast to many more moons on the board and helping people get out of the witness cult.

I'm glad to hear you are feeling better about your situation. I thought of you today when I was having a 'discussion' with my mother about the pedofiles in the Society. It is just so frustrating. She couldn't take her head out of the sand long enough to hear anything I was saying. I told her I had seen 5000 pages of court documents and she jumped on that with "you must have seen them on one of those apostate places".
Like I told you before, I keep chipping away as I feel I can with them. That will probably do it for a while. I just can't push them the way you are able to.
