I Thought of this topic when I was looking at the new memorial invitation.
Jesus is pictured, as usual as a caucasian, and there are good reasons for him to be portrayed as such.
Angels or other spirit beings however, are also portrayed as only caucasian in the ivory tower literature .
I don't remember seeing any other races portrayed as angels .I threw away all my litterature.
Do you ?

Just tradition I suppose. Or looking at the angels as the Bible authors would have anthropomorphized them, which would, I am pretty sure, have been semitic in appearance and not as they are depicted in the WT. (We see how the Marian apparitions are in the race of the location they occur, note Guadalupe and Caridad del Cobre for example). I really doubt Jesus was as white as they draw also in the WT pubs. More likely a mediterranean semitic brown color. Especially considering he worked as a carpenter and spent most of his ministry walking outdoors from place to place. Certainly not a N Euro white color, IMHO. Even some NT words are indicative. Take the letter to the Galatians. This was a Celtic cdolony in central Asia Minor. The very name Galatia may have been taken for the Greek word for milk, indicating the whiteness of this particular Euro-derived people in contrast to the Mediterranean Greeks..
Either way, the color is meaningless, and "color" WRT to the angels is a physical manifestation, not a spiritual one.

Don't you realize that even if you are another ethnicity, or "race" that when you die, you will become "the only true race" which happens to be "white".
And of course, the physical representation of angels will manifest itself as the white race because every other race is either cursed or a devitation of the white race.
Don't get me started on the covert racism in the JW ideology.

They may be...but really..if there are angels how would we know what they REALLY look like?

These gentlemen do not look racist.
They do, however, look a little untrustworthy.
This is one of the reasons that they started using diversity in their pictures. There were many people in the black and latino neighborhoods that proclaimed that the JWs were a white religion. About 15 years ago or so the COs would highlight the importance of showing the folks at the door pictures that looked like them. Show whites pictures with white people, show blacks pictures with black people, latinos to latinos, etc.
Then one day in service, a black lady asked when did our religion change colors. She noticed that now whenever someone talked with her they always showed her a picture of a black person as if to say that the JW were there to rescue black people.
But that this an interesting topic, why don't religions in general picture angels of various ethnic groups?

A chinese angel is a good example. There are more chinese people than any other group and does anyone realize how many Nigerians there are in the world?
The WTS only started including other races in their literature about 10 or 15 years ago and it was more out of pressure. I still remember to this day being taught for years that black people were cursed people and having to read scriptures justifying it.
But I wouldn't get stuck on it, we already know that the JW religion is all about smoke and mirrors and covering itself when their foolishness is caught.
