I hope that your meeting with him goes well. I know that it will be uncomfortable, but you will be glad you did it because inwardly you know it is the right thing to do.

Your thread reminds me of the last time I saw my uncle before his passing. He looked extremely similar-even the glasses. I SO wanted to say something like- hey unc. Would you mind saying hello to my dad for me? I really wanted to communicate with him just once more. It made me hope for a moment that there really was a heaven.
Death is that state where we live only in the memory of others. (Tasha Yar-Star Trek,TNG). Therefore.......
Make peace with your uncle. If that is too difficult, then make peace with yourself.
