I agree that a one world is probably inevitible. I think it is also preferable to all these stupid wars and conflicts. Money, or in other words, international trade is paving the way. Change always freeks out a lot of people. Many group egos and personal egos will fight to the death against it. After it is established fact and it's operations reasonably smoothed out, most people will see it as a nobrainer, and wonder why it wasn't done sooner.

Is govt ever benign? Don't govts always push as far as the people let them?

Two things are flying on the radar at the moment here in the UK that seem to be done deals just waiting for the right moment to introduce them as policy:

I am a believer in keeping my eyes and ears open. There is almost always a least a little truth in every tale. And many truths are so well covered with spin in order to keep the vast majority blind; that we either think that we must be crazy to think about such things - or it is guaranteed others will think we are.

My personal opinion is that Mother Nature has been pillaged, the poor enslaved, and the middle-class sucked, to the point that it is all coming down. Of course the super-rich and influential have made their plans for survival.
