  as much as I empathize and understand how hard that must be for someone who's never really had to endure something like that to hear about it, I still need my partner in life to be ok with listening to me and hearing me talk about it.

  That's fine; it is perfectly fair to expect support during the down times. Who is to know how bad the bad times really are though, except her? You might behave worse than you think. Then again, she might just not be very tolerant. If it's something that broke you up, that should tell you both a lot.

  She said that she wanted me to be crying, on my knees, groveling, because I had hurt her so bad. She then got upset about I was the one who hurt her, and yet the night after she came back, hysterical in tears, wanting to get back together and I turned her down. She was really angry about that too.

  You cannot be serious, I think both of you have certain issues to solve. Trust me mate she doesn’t want you be talking about your feelings, if she gets you to that level she’ll hate your guts.
  When I left facktower world I too felt like emotional handicap because of not being able to “feel” much so I went through a stage of trying to make myself feel things which had its successes and failures. What finally dawned on me, after being torn to pieces in an unfamiliar territory, was that I was perfectly normal to begin with but because of various misconceptions was fighting against my own self.

  Men are more practical, hands on, problem solving creatures which comes from the time when our ancestors were hunters if you wanna know. Girls on the other hand are more feelings creatures which is a good thing.
  Now just as we don’t like ladies that behave like men they don’t like men to behave like women. It is what nature intended so deal with it. So I’d say, you are perfectly normal. And hey if she wanna go, you are just humiliating yourself by begging. Suck it up and move on. Life is not a romantic novel my friend, you eat or are eaten.
