My 5 year battle against the wt, which resulted in me being "deleted" as an elder was based on my defending

a brother in my congregation against elders who told this brother that he could not bring his son (whom he had had out of wedlock),

to the hall. They told him that he had to just deal with his son "through the mail".

Note that this brother had not been disfellowshipped for his adultery and his witness wife had willingly accepted him back

    without wanting to divorce him.

Additionally, the co's and do's told his wife that "Illegitimite children have no future hope".

Sounds bizarre, but this is exactly what happened from 1995-2000.

The above is the core of why I was deleted. Because I stood up for what is right.

That situation resulted in a 5 year battle which went all the way to the presidency of the wt.

I can remember being threatened with losing "privileges" for having shoes that were somewhat scuffed. Then I lost my "privilege" of being in the Theocraptic Misery "School(??)" by playing hooky when I had a talk. Ultimately I shredded them all.

    Taking part time courses.

I'm a network administrator, and it's sometimes necessary to take courses to keep my skills up to date. After much searching, I found a school which allowed me to take a Cisco PIX firewall course on Saturdays. The course was completed in 4 consecutive Saturdays, so I still made it to all the meetings and field serviceā„¢ on Sundays. The elders took me to the little room downstairs and said I was being a bad example to others by taking courses, and that I was being materialistic. They took away my glorious privileges of working on the sound and being the account servantā„¢.

A short time later the PO came to me at the hall and asked me if I'd come to his home to solve a computer problem for him. I told him it was inappropriate for them to chastise me for taking courses and still expect me to use my expertise for their own benefit. I also said it was inappropriate for them to chastise me for being "materialistic" and still think they had any business benefiting from my alleged "materialism" - namely having the book study in my house - and I told him to get the BS out of my house.

    wha happened?

FF I had similar experiences when I owned an electronics repair facility in the 90's. Sometimes as a business owner u work late or on weekends. If I missed a meeting the talk would begin on my problem of materialism. Trying to make a name for myself in the world. But whenever someone was out of work or needed something repaired, Who did they go to first. BAAAAAAAAaaaaaarrrrrrrffffff! I am so glad I don't need to see or hear from these hypocrites anymore

Purchasing a 600tc Egyptian cotton bed set. The nazi elders wanted me to return it, as it was obviously extravagant and self-glorifying (I had mentioned my purchase in field service) when "the Son of Man has no place to rest his head".

    wtf, right?
