I had a nicely trimmed beard. They said, "No mics for you!"
What's the craziest thing you've lost your privileges over?

My friend's wife left him, so he lost his privileges, even commenting and service I think. It makes me shake my head how they find it perfectly alright to punish you for the actions of others. Also, my sister-in-law was reproved for sleeping with a boy about 7 years ago (before she was married to my bro.). She was disfellowshipped after that for a while but then she got reproved for it again because the guy finally came forward, and they didn't want to punish him without punishing her, too.

wha happened?
when my first wife left I had my privileges removed as well. Even though at the time of separation she said I wasn't doing anything to endanger her spiritually and I wasn't abusive. When the brothers tried to reason with her she mentioned that she would never go back no matter what the bible says. So who had the bad attitude, and who lost the privileges?

>>>Reading the "National Lampoon".
>>>What?
That's what I said...
I had just purchased a copy of the latest issue (back when NatLamp was an actual magazine) and was flipping through it while sitting in my car. A newer brother came up to say hi without my noticing him and we chatted a bit. Several months later, I finally noticed I was not being used for prayer, reading at the book study or WT study, etc. etc. When I asked one of the elders what was going on, he informed me that this brother had told the elders that he saw me reading "pornography" and they thought it better not to use me any more.
What really ticked me off about it was that, first, they were willing to assume that what this newbie told them was true without even asking me whether it was so, and second, that they didn't care enough about me to actually try to help with my alleged "problem," but were only interested in what congregational action they could take against me. Just one more straw on the pile that would eventually make me see the WTS for what it is.

I was threatened with losing my priviledges for breaking off an engagement that should never have taken place; we were ill matched and only after the engagement did I realise that she was a bit of a nut job. When I sought the advice of an elder I was told that I would lose my priviledges.
In the end we got married and I blame the elder concerned for making those 7 years the worst in my life!
