It seems like a lot of hard work, either to navigate all the rules of the WT Society, or to try to walk the tightrope and circumvent them.
Some JW's have it really hard, like single moms. Others have it easier, like many elders' wives.
I wouldn't paint them all with the "lazy" broad brush.

Those who are always complaining about their lot in life and unwilling to do anything about it, yes. There are those who are willing to accept a job from a brother but unwilling to perform. And there are those who just want a hand out, all the time.
On the other hand , there many hard working dubs that live in the real world, not paradise, that are very successful in life. So, make any twist on this that you may.

Hmmmm......they get their thinking done for them......when there are any problems- they run to the elders for solutions,
........they take advantage of any welfare benefits they can..........

Some of the laziest I have seen were the so called spiritualy strong. Some of the hardest working were the spiritualy weak. Years ago I quit volunteering to work on the hall because there were always too many chiefs and not enough indians ( me being one of the indians) and of course all of the chiefs being elders, ministerial servants, and their families . If it were not for all the so called weak jws I don't know how anything would ever get done.
A very good friend of mine (disfellowshipped) and who I kept seeing for years ( society kiss my behind), is a large man, works like a dog , strong as a grizzly bear , can outwork 5 good men, and intelligent but rough around the edges, was made fun of because it was so god awful hot he took his shirt off. (he had being swinging a pick) The good jws stood around snickering like idiots . After that they had neither me or him again to treat like crap.
I have lots of these stories, but every time I start talking about them it just upsets me that I ever put up with that crap. So I only come up with one every once in while.

Tired of the Hypocrisy
Male pioneers in California that still live with their mommies are generally lazy from my pov. They all want to be seen a spiritual so they never work or work just enough to get by. Then they want all the hot sisters to want them for their spirituality, even though they look like a gargoyle. I know about three of these guys that when they would go after a sister her folks would step in and say no. Why? Because they knew he would never support their daughter and they would end up supporting both of them. I guess they would rather just support their own child and not the lazy, spoiled, automotonical spawn of some mentally deficient reprobate that beats his wife and sodomizes his kids. And his neighbor's kids.

They are lazy Bible students also. But to be fair, they are subtly taught that there is no point in researching your beliefs because the Society has done it for you!
At a certain point Dubs become unteachable, they lose the ability to think and possibly find that they have got things wrong.
I speak from personal experience. :) -

BigMouth, my mother is one of those. I fear that, when she dies, she'll refuse to go to heaven because she's so sure it doesn't exist. Even if St. Peter himself were standing there holding the gate open for her!
