I better save all these logical links before they are lost in a mass of popular opinion. This link was on page three, after all the paranormal woo-dee-doo.

Thank you, Jgnat. It was interesting and in line with what I was guessing. Just a piece of wood manipulated by hopeful people.
Let's just say when I was a teen the board spelt out who I was going to marry. The last name, and I remember saying what the L kind of a name is that?
I met and married him two years later. I honestly suggest not to buy a board for your own good. lol

I wouldn't have one in my house, because my husband is very superstitious (never a JW, though). However he may be able to overcome his fears if he thought it would keep the JW's away. His hatred of them is probably greater than his superstition.
I'm a skeptic and an atheist, but I've been curious about so-called Talking Boards (the generic name for the trademarked "Ouija"). I've Googled "ouija board stories" and found a few interesting links. Going back 20 years when I was a teenager, I knew these two boys whose mother was a Witness. They said that they made up their own "Ouija" board by writing out letters on a piece of paper or something similar. If you don't want to spend any money, you could do the same. Write out the alphabet and numbers on a piece of paper and put a piece of plate glass over it. Then find something to use as a "pointer" like an inverted wine glass. Voila, your own "Ouija" board. No, I haven't tried it myself.
As far as attracting "demons" is concerned, I've had a Tarot card deck and a book on ceremonial magick (recommended by DayStar) for some time and haven't been bothered by anything paranormal at all.
Have fun!
Dave
I tried the ouija board once....it spelled out "zebra"...."triple word score" then "48 points"......bloody scrabble demons are a nuisance
Effectively, when they do work, it's your right brain moving your hand (and the planchet) toward the letters in sequence to spell out the message. It is about as reliable as dreaming--that is, if you get a message at all.
I went out and bought one for the 2006 Crapmorial just to slap Jehovah in the face, without worrying about whether it would work or not. I still have it--just in case the witlesses ever get the stupid idea of stopping by for a hounding call. I haven't seen even a single demon in my Ouija board.
