Just remembered .I once bought a gas mantle type camping lamp for use in a tent and before I went camping with it I tried lighting it in the kitchen .Unfortunately I had a bit of difficulty getting it to light at first , as I put the 15th match to it and bent my head forward to look at it a twelve foot flame shot up in the air and parted my hair: That's why I have a head like a runway, plenty on each side but not much in the middle.
It's worked well ever since and is really cosy under canvas.
General Electric. They would get brighter and brighter then they would fade back to their original state and start getting brighter again. It was like a cycle. Kind of bizzare.
Flourescent tubes, everywhere.

The lights in our KH kept getting brighter with each new Watchtower. We were not allowed to question the light. You couldn't replace the lights because replacements were false religious lights. The lights use a lot of energy because Jehover gave them the power way back in 1914--He is very powerful.
All our KH lights were phazed out because they were Victorian oil lamps and considered to be old light.
Apparently there were too many , the end of the month shake down was pretty bad since nobody wanted to pay for the mortgage or electric bill .
