The WTS for getting so many genuine people to doubt, condemn and frown upon each other!

But maybe some of those would be that way wherever they were and make the grade of dominating whole groups of others?

Well take for a lession this if you have 17 monkeys locked up in a zoo and they all stop all fellowshiping or in the lest way with the 17th monkey that 17th monkey will soon die, we are humans and their disfellowshiping practice has killed many who have had the Witness's form of (punishment) that they so unlovingly call call by some other high minded name. To sum it up he that has not sinned should throw the first stone you GB chumps, like a chump like a chump like a chump...

For me it is completely the doctrine. I expected abuse of authority and slander etc.. with any group of humans. The fact that they destroy the sonship with God that Jesus offers by setting up a two part system of Christians then denying the one class salvation by grace, forgiveness now, and receipt of the Holy Spirit is what I can't deal with. The sole channel to God thing also grated on me, too. Where's the proof? The apostles had signs to prove God had changed his favor to Christians, and according to the WTS those who rejected them will still get a resurrection. Now, supposedly, there is a group with a history of false predictions who if you don't listen to them you will be destroyed forever. I can't buy that.

I so passed that point long ago, it's unreal. I think after a while looking inside from the outside you reach escape velocity and gravity can't pull you in any longer. So you watch mother borg from the orbit, its rather funny how small she seems from this altitude. ;)

In my case I would put particular emphasis on the third one - practices. For example - the hypocrisy of the people and their so-called 'love'. which was just plain nosiness and desire to exploit. Their issues about women which were obnoxious and which I don't need to elaborate on. And, last but not least, their stand against higher education and secular work.

I was never much of a witness. I was on the fringes because I had to work and I could never see the sense of constant reading and studying their never ending publications! There was just never enough time to do all that damn reading. And, to put it plainly, I wasn't interested in reading all their stuff. I only read articles and books I was interested in plus a little bible reading.

So, because I was no JW 'scholar' by their standards, I admit I am no expert on their beliefs and doctrines the way many people on this forum are. You could all put me to shame! Maybe if I was I more well read on their publications I would have been out even sooner!

So, it was their practices that first got me annoyed, angry and just plain suspicious. And this was all before I ever heard about the UN issue or the pedophile scandal.

What WTS belief, doctrine,or practice are you mostly disappointed in?

Their shunning policies are not even humane...........

For protecting child molestors......the tar and feathering should start at the top, and make its way to the local elders!!

They should be held accountable for murder for their stance on blood.........bring back hanging!!

    All of the above.

In addition: the organization promotes a negativity in it's membership, that aside from doctrines, morals or beliefs, is detrimental to humans. These souls go thru life waiting for God to wipe out the majority of humankind. They find only negatives in the people outside the organization. They create a society within that is paranoid, self-deluded and psychotic on some levels as a result.

If for no other reason - I oppose Jehovah's Witnesses because they ruin the lives of the six or seven million people who are attached to the cult. And the ripple-effect on family and others who know them reaches out to tens of millions more I am sure. Like us - still here dealing with the aftermath of the life they imposed.
