Jehoagies at the door this morning

DAMN! I missed them because I was out, but my wife answered the door. She told the two older gentlemen that her husband was a JW for twelve years and decided to leave. Of course they asked her why, and all she could think of to say, because she was busy(as all householders are when the 'hoagies show up)was "he wanted a different lifestyle". Oh great, lovely and talented wife, the 'hoagies think I'm gay now.

Naaaa, they probably think your wife got it wrong. What JW leaves THE TRUTH becasue they want a different lifestyle? It's not in their realm of comprehension or phrases. Materialist, ambition, fornication, adultery, apostasy - though apostatsy has been greatly expanded in recent years to cover a multitude of wt sins. In fact acquiring a different lifestyle is apostasy - least that's what they called it when we did it!!!

ps last time they called I was on the phone to my jw parents - and had to tell them I was busy. DANG!!!

Isn't "Jehoagie" the Supreme Sandwich of the Universe?

"Such things should not be mocked," he said as his stomach growled...

TR, my sympathies to your long suffering wife - how does she put up with your flamboyant gay lifestyle?

Throw mayo and balogna at them next time.

Always keep a ready supply at the door, near the mailbox.

My wife doesn't enjoy visits from JWs, but she knows how disappointed I am for not being at the right place at the right time. Therefore she always asks for THEIR address and telephone no. (Norway is different that way). Not being an exJW myself they are usually keen on this, since I am therefore, in their eyes looked upon as a "potential".
In my experience, letters is a great way of communicating with JWs since one can structualize arguments, and easier to enable to
stay on a certain line of thought, without being sidetracked.

Better luck next time TR! It would be cool if you could feign interest and have a study...get them coming at odd times....talk about football instead of the study....then take ages over the first paragraph! HaHa!

Yes, indeed, my flambouyant lifestyle is catching up to me!

Actually, it worked out well, because the 'hoagies really don't know why I left. I've been thinking about dropping in on the KH lately, maybe when the weather is really bad and there's nothing to do. I need to purchase a new mini-recorder for the event. Then, I can upload sound files for y'all to enjoy.
