In the past whenever you went on vacation (holiday) did you try and find a Kingdom Hall to attend and also try and put in some service time?

I did go to a hall or two, and it was a pretty damn fun way to meet some locals with inside info...even went to a hall once in the Dominican Republic in Higuay....very out of the way...and maybe not spelled right. Once met two HOT pioner chicks that moved out of their trailer (damn it) so me and a buddy could stay there..............but no freakin way could I do service on vacation................oompa
but I would have serviced one of those pioneers!

EVERY trip we made when I was young, we my parents would search high and low for a hall. We would change in the van, or a gas station bathroom. Sometimes, witnesses, that we had never met before, would invite us to spend the night. FREE ROOM and a MEAL!!!
I remember my parents would always stop at the local police station and ask where the KH was!!
Talk about nightmares!!

Speaking of door to door on vacation time, I knew a somewhat "zealous" family that liked to do camp to camp witnessing when we had camp outs. It was amazing to see.

Went to KH in Chama, New Mexico, in jeans with my dad. We just HAD to pass by within an hour of it starting. Of course, mother and siblings went to motel. Don't remember why I went. I may have even been a willing participant.

Tired of the Hypocrisy
No, never. I always thought the ones that came to our hall were phonies.....Mostly guys looking for a sister to wrangle into marriage. Oh, even better...the visiting Beth-Hellite. Hell, we used to go to the assemblies and usually leave early and even go home early because some shit heel would piss off my mom! LOL So no, no vaction KH or Service for me....

when I went to London & scotland the first time I did go visit the hall twice, but just cos I knew we would be going out afterwards.
