what you saying to a people who claim to be following jesus' footsteps
is that you're more christlike than they are (nanananabooboo)
since jesus apostatized from the jewish system of things and you're
apostatizing from the jw system of things.

LOOLOO- Good suggestions so far ! My take would be to just tell em' you were never baptized so the same rules don't apply to you . You are just an observer who hasn't made her mind up yet. Then tell them, " Please don't stumble me any further , or I'll stop coming to meetings ! " Then stomp your feet like a little kid , and cry and make a big display ! They'll back off and think you're nuts ! It's one way to get them to leave you alone . LOL! Peace out, Mr. Flipper

Smile and think, "And you consider yourself great friendship material?" "I can't imagine missing you."
"Gesundheit." ..... "Oh, I thought you sneezed. What did you say again?"
With my husband, I now cover my face and sneeze, "Ah-bullzshizt"

Say "No I'm not - I'm worldly. Get it right."

Missinglink, I have thought of replying just that way. Though mine would go like this:
"Apostate? Impossible, I've never renounced my beliefs. The worst you can call me is "opposer"."

Why do you ask if the word apostate is in the bible?
(I think that is a great question to pose to your JW namecallers though!)If you look up the word apostate at www.dictionary.com
it gives a simple definition.Jesus was a Jew who left the Jewish way.
This renders him an apostate by default.Without getting tangled up in right fighting with JWs,
you could simply put the onus on them to think about what exactly they are saying when they use the
term with you, by saying, the next time they call you an apostate:Or if you want, read them that script. about following JC's footsteps closely,
then ask, sincerely, "Wasn't Jesus an apostate?"
See what your accusers have to say then.
