The label of apsotate doesn't bother me. It has no meaning or relevance to my current life. It no longer has any negative connotation to me. If others choose to think of me that way, it's no skin off my nose. I think they are deluded idiots, but I feel sorry for them because I was once a deluded idiot. Out of the totality of all the things I am, ex-Jw (or apostate), it just a small part.

NO MORE GUILT- Nice thread bro ! It is true we all have our stories and struggles we've endured but we do share a common bond as you say. I too appreciate my freedom now - and what helps me personally get over the " rough " spots where I have experienced the " heartbreaking " times you mentioned is becoming proactive in trying to reason with witnesses when I see them on the street or when they come to my door - I find trying to open their minds up in a positive way makes me feel better and solidifies my stand as an " apostate " as you will. Just trying to focus my energies in a way to assist them , helps me push the negative witness thing in the past
