You should have asked the Elder who presented the illustration of a handful of diamonds. Was he holding blood diamonds? If that's the case it's worthless to me. What kind of diamonds was he trying to categorize? Not all diamonds are precious. Some come with a bad history.

I just talked to a friend (Zelda) who recently got a marking talk.
She called the elders, since they hadn't talked to her in about a year.
they said they tried to contact her - which was a lie. Then they told her, just make it easy on us and write a DA letter.

An elder game over and said how good it was to see me and that we should get together some time and go out in service! I thought to myself "you're a total idiot, you don't have a clue" I just smiled and said something like "I don't think so." End of conversation.

Another elder told me he wanted to come by for a shepherding call, I told him he was too late and that he should have come by about 5 years previous. Then I get the old we really miss you and would love to see you here more often. I looked the fellow right in the eye and said "yeah right...I'm not interested" He buggered off.

How about the repeated counsel from the platform that the a$$emblies are a foretaste of the new system. Then, when all the sisters reject me, they tell me that it isn't really what the new system is going to be like, blatantly contradicting what has just been said from the platform! Needless to say, they wonder why I am no longer going to a$$emblies. And I see the "new order" as nothing more than the Second Dark Ages.
