I agree with some of the other posters that you should shower them with love and let them make up their own minds.
Any way you slice it, you've got a tough row to hoe. I guess the one thing to be very cautious about is to avoid any suggestion of hypocrisy or double standards when it comes to observing holidays...maybe not over-do it either...just stay balanced and hopefully they will see the merit in your stance.

yes I have advice.
Unconditional love is the most lacking within the whole WT scene. UNCONDITIONAL....love, unconditional love, unconditional love.
Also, try to reinforce whatever uniqueness they display. They will get plenty of knock downs, you can be there to help them know that it is ok to be different. Help them explore their interests as much as possible.
Finally, don't undermine the family in the borg. They will undermine you, kids can't handle being torn between two parents (or grandparents, aunt...etc.) If they are told one is doomed to eternal distruction, and the other is a finatical hypocrate, they learn to not trust either and make their own rules up.
I should have checked first if you are still in or not, sorry, but if you are here then you are at least in a fadish situation so maybe it applies?
