It's because niether god, nor any of the angles (all 'right' angles, as in square) wanted to dress up as a woman, or for that matter incarnate as a woman ;) Simple solution, blame the man. This principle is coming back, big time. Hmm, maybe jcannon isn't so nutty, afterall. Maybe he really is the messiah, coming back to balance the scales; eve on one side, jcannon on t'other. Anybody guess how much eve wieghed?

One thing that is certain without scrutinizing theology you can easily find yourself being tripped up by the ideologies thats being presented in a nonsensical way.
The Adam and Eve story is just one of many that are in the bible.
But hey, they didn't have tv, radios or computers back then, how else were they to pass the time..........I know they told stories

it's a myth - reflects the beliefs of the people at the time the myth was created.

Tired of the Hypocrisy
I think that women suffer enough as it is without heaping Adam's sin on top of Eve. My take on this is that Eve was tricked by a talking snake and Adam knew damn well that snakes don't talk and that even touching the fruit was a big no-no. I still think that if she was lied to and tricked into eating it, that Adam had it within him to forgive her as Jah's Anointed. I mean if Adam forgave her for being tricked......He was the true dumbass here.

Seems peculiar that the CEO of the human family (ADAM) is rewarded for introducing mankind to death and sin by being made woman's dominating head.
Making EVE the head would have been worse punishment. :)
I agree that the mythological overtones of a "just so" story pervade here.
To explain why we are God's darlings and yet suffer death was one reason for the story. But, the other was clearly to give a good reason (!?) for dominating women and lording it over them all through history.
This story is as good as they could come up with.

The first sin originated in heaven, yep....not on earth.
Satan sinned way before Adam and Eve
Why blame humans when sin originated in heaven?
