"And unlike some other Robin Hoods, I can speak with an English accent." Cary Elwes Robin Hood Men in Tights.

Yeah actually I thought of that "Robin Hood' but no one likes so it can't be overrated.

Gee which was worse Costner's Iowa British accent or Christian Slater's incredible over acting? Oh wait ... the god awful movie!

Thanks FHN. Just roving about the earth and wandering about in it.

Oh my gosh!!! You people have just named some of my favorite movies of all time!!!

Braveheart!! In the theater, and remember it came out BEFORE The Patriot.

    Casablanca?? Casablanca?!!!

I would have to put The Matrix on my list for sure. That latest King Kong was pure torture, but that can't come close to the colossal hell that was Dune. I made the mistake of seeing that in the theater, and was trapped for what felt like 19 hours.

Okay, allow me to clarify about Casablanca. I didn't dislike the movie. There were some memorable moments. I just never got what was great about it. Frankly, I found his character a little too apathetic, and never bought that the two of them were lovers at one time.

And as for Citizen Kane: yes the filmmaking was cutting edge, and Orson Welles was brilliant. It was just a little too slow-moving for me. I believe that movies should be entertaining, first and foremost, and it wasn't.

It's okay. I understand, some movies don't work for me. That's why they make chocolate and vanilla, you know? Everyone's got an opinion and it's all good in the end. Part of the fun, at least for me, is dissecting a movie and throwing out what you did, or didn't, like about it.

I hope I didn't come on too strong. If so I do apologize.

No worries here. If you badmouth Raiders of the Lost Ark, Cool Hand Luke or Full Metal Jacket, you might just unleash my inner beast.

There's Something About Mary --I don't think of myself as a stick in the mud, but this movie just didn't get a single laugh out of me. It just wasn't funny. Yet I had friends who acted like it was the funniest movie ever made....

Matrix--Not on my list! C'mon this movie was brilliant AND entertaining!

Doctor Zhivago-- I couldn't STAND this movie. Maybe because we HAD to watch it in high school. I swear I wanted to punch someone by the time it repeated that damn theme song for the 1,000th time!!!

Nope, nothing to criticize from me.

    Now if you'd mentioned Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom . . . . . . .

I guess the old semen in the hair gag isn't for everyone.

OMG!!! What is funnier than semen in the hair? I ask you?!

Keyser, I think some movies are major winners, because of the performances. I think Casablanca, was not only a great story, but the performances were spectacular. Think of the time as well, .................I just.........sigh.
